Mt. Oglethorpe Vision

Except for approximately one acre on top of Mt Oglethorpe, Ken and Billie Ann Rice own 107 acres which surrounds the crest of Mt Oglethorpe. The one acre is behind a 12 foot cyclone fence and contains multiple broadcast towers which utilize the height of the mountain.

Rather than exploit the use of Mt Oglethorpe, the Rice' s wish to share the beauty, uniqueness, and historical significance of their property. This will be accomplished by allowing public access with a planned, limited, and respectful development. There will be hiking and interpitive trails as well as overlooks and observation platforms which utilize and emphasizes the 360 degree panoramic views.

An outdoor class room is planned for educational and group gatherings.
